Cookie Policy

Last updated: 20 May 2026

This Cookie Policy explains how Motofly ("we", "us", "our") uses cookies and similar technologies on motofly.co.uk (the "Service"). It should be read alongside our Privacy Policy. We use these technologies in accordance with the UK General Data Protection Regulation ("UK GDPR") and the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations ("PECR").

Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. We also use similar technologies such as your browser's local storage. Except for strictly necessary cookies, we only set cookies after you have given consent through our cookie banner, and you can withdraw that consent at any time.

1. Strictly necessary cookies

These cookies are essential for the Service to function and cannot be switched off. They do not require your consent because the Service cannot be provided without them.

  • Authentication: session cookies set by our authentication provider (Supabase) that keep you signed in and secure your account session.
  • Security: cookies that help protect against cross-site request forgery and other malicious activity.
  • Consent preference:a record of your cookie-banner choice, so we don't ask you on every visit.

2. Performance and analytics cookies

These cookies help us understand how visitors use the Service — for example, which pages are most popular — so we can improve it. They collect information in an aggregated form.

We do not currently use any performance or analytics cookies. If we introduce them in future, they will only be set after you opt in through the cookie banner, and you will be able to withdraw consent at any time.

3. Functional cookies

These cookies and similar technologies remember choices you make to give you a more personalised experience. They are only used where you have consented or where they support a feature you have actively chosen to use.

  • Compare list:the set of cars you add to the side-by-side comparison, stored in your browser's local storage so it survives a page reload.
  • Assistant preferences: the position of the Motofly Assistant chat bubble, if you move it.
  • Display preferences: minor interface choices that make the Service more convenient to use.

4. Advertising cookies

Advertising cookies are used to build a profile of your interests and show you relevant adverts on other sites.

We do not currently use any advertising or third-party tracking cookies, and we do not sell your data to advertisers. If this ever changes, we will update this policy and request your consent through the cookie banner before any such cookies are set.

5. Managing your cookies

You can change or withdraw your consent at any time using the cookie banner. You can also control and delete cookies through your browser settings:

  • Most browsers let you view, block, and delete cookies from the privacy or security section of their settings.
  • You can usually set your browser to refuse all cookies or to alert you when a cookie is being set.
  • Blocking strictly necessary cookies may stop parts of the Service — such as signing in — from working correctly.

For more general guidance on cookies and your rights, you can visit the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.

6. Changes to this policy

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the "last updated" date above and, where appropriate, ask for your consent again.

7. Contact us
